The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine recently launched an €8 million National Liming Programme on the 15th of March.
The main aim of the programme is to incentivise farmers to apply ground limestone in order to maintain soil fertility. Successful applicants will receive grant aid of €16 per tonne of lime applied.Closing date for applications is the 20th April 2023
